Located at Pier-2’s Penglai Warehouse Cluster, the museum showcases the history of Hamasen using rail and train models with HO scale (1:87), and combines theatric audiovisual effects to present the century-old story of Taiwan’s railway history. A special exhibition of railway models that takes up space of more than 330 square meters across ten exhibition areas displays the four main railway systems in Taiwan and their eight subsystems which are respectively related to sugar, salt, forestry, mining, and other industries. Classic train models with multiple train cars (including passenger trains and cargo trains) run past more than 200 classic scenes every day, making the exhibition unprecedented both in style and scale in Taiwan.
